37 hrs per week

Based at Fire Service Headquarters, Huntingdon

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service provide a vital facility to the local community within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Procurement Team for a Procurement Officer.

Specific criteria of the role include:-

  • excellent procurement skills
  • qualified as a minimum to level 4 of CIPS
  • good understanding of Public Procurement Regulations
  • ability to run procurements through the OJEU Process

With good communication and organisational skills, the successful applicant will have a strong understanding of procurement, together with experience of working in a public sector environment.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:-

  • self motivation with the ability to manage their own workload
  • experience of using Microsoft applications and databases
  • ability to work alone and within a team setting

Please note that candidates who are successfully shortlisted will be required to attend an interview on Friday 07 September or Monday 10th September 2012.
