An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR professional to join Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service as an HR Assistant Business Partner on an initial fixed term contract. to March 2014.

The role involves joining the Fire Service at a time of great transition, working with the management team advising on best practice during period of change.

Main duties and accountabilities of the role include:-

  • To promote and deliver a customer focussed and professional HR service on all aspects of the HR function
  • To develop proposals for and implement a wide range of HR initiatives and corporate projects
  • To develop and promote credible working relationships with managers, employees and Union Representatives

The successful candidate must possess the following:

  • Fully CIPD qualified
  • An in-depth understanding and application of employment law
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Able to work efficiently within a close team environment
  • Furthermore previous experience of managing a change programme would be advantageous.

37 hours per week, based at Fire Service Headquarters, Hinchingbrooke, Huntingdon.
