About Support

You don't have to wear a firefighter's uniform and run into burning buildings to help save lives and have a rewarding career with us.

We have a whole host of career opportunities in non-operational functions to support the frontline and each role is equally important in helping us achieve our vision to reduce risk and save lives. So whether you're a cook, communications officer, accountant, HR adviser, vehicle engineer, data analyst, personal assistant, business manager or have other professional skills or attributes to offer, why not consider a role with us.

For each of our support staff vacancies there are three documents that we make available as standard, they are:

  • Vacancy information pack
    (This contains guidance notes; a job description; our Diversity & Equality Statement and much more)
  • Monitoring form
    (The information we ask you for in this document will be used for statistical purposes only and will not be considered for any part of the recruitment process)
  • Application form

All the above will be available for download from each vacancy details page. From time to time there may be additional documents we ask you to download - this will depend on the specific vacancy.

Short-listing for the post will take place shortly after the closing date and you will be notified of the outcome of the short-listing.
