Station Commander

Location:Combined Fire Control
Salary:Cambridgeshire and Suffolk
A vacancy has arisen for a Station Commander to work within the Combined Fire Control for Cambridgeshire and Suffolk Fire & Rescue Services.
Based at Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Services headquarters in Huntingdon, applications are therefore invited from Station Commanders and substantive Watch Commanders who are able to demonstrate competence in all areas of the Station Commander Role map, together with proven experience of mobilising database management.
The role offers the chance to work with a forward thinking and innovative team as well as an excellent opportunity to be involved in projects such as the development of the MDT's, dynamic mobilising and Automatic Vehicle Location Systems.
The role involves working a 42 hour week based Monday-Friday with on-call requirements. On-call 24 hours during the week on a 1 in 3 basis the successful candidate will also be required to cover weekends on the same basis. When on-call, the successful candidate will need to live within Cambridgeshire or provide a base within the County.
The role is Station Commander A (Control) with 20% flexible duty supplement.
