37 hours (Monday to Friday)

Location: Fire Protection Department, Highfields Fire Station, Beeston

The Fire Protection Department, within Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service runs a modern, risk-based approach to the Fire safety of non domestic premises within Nottinghamshire.

The role of the Department is to direct its inspection and enforcement activities to premises that pose the greatest risk to life, property, the environment and to the City and County??s heritage, using a risk based approach.

Working within one of our three busy fire protection teams, the Fire Protection Support Team Partnership Manager will lead and support the management, maintenance and development of new partnership arrangements in line with current partnership schemes, such as Primary Authority Scheme, Retail and Fire Key Authority Partnerships or Lead Fire Authority Partnerships. In this role you will provide technical support and guidance to the inspectorate within the Fire Protection Department, facilitating the delivery of the Department??s Business Plan aims and objectives. You will also representative NFRS at relevant forums, groups and meetings, including those established through Service Level Agreements in order to support the Service aims and statutory duties.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of business planning;
  • Experience of developing partnerships across a range of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience of report writing;
  • A knowledge of Fire Safety Legislation
  • Ability to disseminate, interpret and implement legislative information;
  • Has an ability to use windows applications;
  • Has an ability to maintain a confidential approach.
