No formal qualifications are needed to apply. There are, however nationally set criteria for experience and skills that all applicants must meet. Everyone is given tailored training and development for their role. Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service has a dedicated Learning and Development Centre which offers a variety of training courses in order to ensure continuous improvement and an excellent service.
